Submission Guidelines

The Institute for Economic Democracy welcomes queries from authors with completed manuscripts on the topics of economic democracy, justice, peace, international cooperation and/or federation, and related subjects. Previously published and self-published manuscripts will be considered, but new work is given priority. Because we are a small press with few personnel and little money we can accept only a handful of manuscripts each year, and authors are expected to take an active role in the editing cycle and the marketing of their book. IED Press does not offer advances against royalties.

Accepted manuscripts will be prepared in both print and ebook editions. Print books are made available POD (print on demand) through a national distributor and appear on all major online retailers such as Amazon, etc. Ebook editions will be prepared for the Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook.

To submit a query begin with a one or two paragraph summary of your book and a little about yourself, submitted using the contact page. We will try to respond within a week or two. If we request your manuscript it must be ready to send as either a plain-text/rich text document, as an MS Word document, or in open document format. If your manuscript includes extensive graphical elements, please indicate this in your query.
